Dear Patient,

March 30, 2020

Today, the Governor of Virginia issued a stay at home order and many of you may be wondering what that means generally and more specifically about your care in our office.  It simply means that all non-essential travel should be restricted.  You can go for medical visits (Your chiropractic visits are included), shop at the grocery store, and go outside for walks, bike rides etc. but all “non-essential activity must cease until June 10th or until a revised order is issued. As noted in my last email, it is always our top priority to provide our patients with the best experience in our office while protecting the health and safety of our patients and employees. To reiterate, the following policies are strictly enforced:

  1. Sick employees are not permitted in the office.
  2. All employees that are involved with your clinical treatment must wear masks and hand sanitize between each visit.
  3. Social Distancing- (only four (4) patients are admitted to the office at a time). To accommodate this directive, we request that when you arrive for your appointment you stay in your car and call the front desk. We will notify you when you should come in. Tissues to open and close the doors are provided at the entrance and exit of the office.
  4. Sanitation- All treatment surfaces are sanitized between each patient. ALL EMPLOYEES who are in direct contact with patients must wash their hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer vigorously and wipe their hands until the sanitizer has fully evaporated between patients.

If you have fever, respiratory symptoms including (SHORTNESS OF BREATH) consult your primary doctor.  If you are responsible for the direct care of a high risk individual or population of individuals (elderly or those with pre-existing pulmonary disease diabetes or other vulnerability) you may want to delay your care until the pandemic passes.

If you are responsible for a vulnerable individual or individual population but still require care, call the office. We will make arrangements for you to receive the care you need.

In general. We want you to know that we are here for you and will do our best to continue to provide you with the care you need during this crisis.  We are confident that the measures we are taking minimize risk and continue to provide important benefits. Lastly, it is my responsibility to continue to encourage each of you to take care of your health.  Let’s not forget that the vast majority of people that will ultimately contract this virus will never even feel sick because a healthy body is the best defense there is.

Get adjusted, get some sunlight (Vitamin D may help). Sleep more if you need it. Make good nutrition choices. Move your body some every day. Stay connected to your loved ones, and just keep reminding yourself that this will pass.  I firmly believe we’re all going to be better on the other side.

Thank you again for your continued trust and confidence.
